My name is Judith (you already know that), and I’m a late bloomer. I didn’t start writing—really writing, not just academics and journalism—till I was ready for Medicare. After twenty-five years obsessed with horses and then a riding accident that put me in a whole different life, I had to figure out, quick smart, what to do with it.
Other than horses, words were all I knew.
I didn’t want to go back to editing someone else’s words or organizing facts for boring publications. I wanted to write but didn’t have a clue how to get started. I wanted to write fiction, and that seemed as likely as a trip to the Milky Way.
I was lucky. Searching the web I ran across an online course called Fear of Writing. Within a week I was writing stories. Three years later I’m still writing stories, with a novel in the works and several more on the back burner.
Life is good.
